Business Breakfast Meeting sponsored by London City Institute of Technology
March 30 @ 8:30 am - 10:30 am
The London City Institute of Technology (IoT) is a brand-new, state-of-the-art, 8-storey purpose-built training facility on City Island, Canning Town. A collaboration between Queen Mary University and Newham College the London City IoT only opened its doors in September 2022. A £28m funding from the Department for Education and the Greater London Authority, the London City IoT is amongst the first wave of 12 Institutes of Technology to provide employers with the technical workforce of tomorrow.
Welcomed by Newham College Deputy CEO and Principal Jamie Purser, hear from the college’s Director of Apprenticeships and Business Development Steve Lee how we engage and work in partnership with employers and stakeholders to support both introducing new talent into our key sectors and the upskilling or reskilling of existing workforces within Newham borough.
We will provide you with information on our business solutions in apprenticeships, sector-based work academies, free training for businesses, and industry placements and how you can get involved to support co-designing new curriculum pathways where there are gaps in the qualification landscape to meet specific industry needs.
